Regularly flying across miles of featureless ocean, you need an aircraft you can trust. It must have dual independent propulsion, be efficient enough to power through storms and flexible enough to land on ice, snow, ocean, lake, sand or rocky terrain -whilst also being capable of huge distances.
We need a benchmark aircraft to connect rural communities that lands anywhere. Reliance on airfields and flat ground is not practical given most coastal geography.
Right now there is no such small economical aircraft like that, but the OceanStormer and AtlanticRanger will fulfil the role of ocean traversing utility aircraft. A versatile air-platform capable of performing everything from search and rescue to whale tracking, submarine hunting and climate analysis. Capable of taking a doctor to treat a patient on board ship or a removing a sick patient quickly from a remote location.
A workhorse that can do the mundane like deliver post, to more urgent functions like collecting and supplying donor organs.
